Job hunting

QR code on your resume

The CV you handed in back in March still leads to today’s version.

And it tells you whether it was opened, which is more than any job board will.

Scan it — it is a real one
The QRlify generator showing job hunting use cases: my CV, my portfolio, video introduction, references, book an interview and my contact details
You pick what it is for, not between eighteen types of code.
Six uses

Six places to put it

On the CV, on the cover letter, at the careers fair. Each one with its own code and its own numbers.

01

My CV

Today’s version, even if the paper is three months old.

02

My portfolio

The work you have done, which weighs more than the list of job titles.

03

Video introduction

Thirty seconds that a CV cannot give.

04

References

Who vouches for you, without attaching four PDFs.

05

Book an interview

Your availability, without the email chain.

06

My contact details

Saved to their address book in one go.

Why dynamic

The difference starts at the printer

A plain QR code

The address lives inside it

You hand in your CV at a fair and a month later you change phone number or update your experience. With a plain code, that paper leads to the old version forever.

And you never learn how many people used it, because it does not pass through anywhere that could count.

A dynamic QR code

We keep the address for you

The code points at QRlify and QRlify points wherever you say. Change the destination whenever you like and whatever you printed still works.

And because every scan passes through here, it can be counted.

What you see the next morning

Whether it was scanned, and when. You will not know who, but you will know whether your CV sat in a drawer or somebody opened it on Tuesday afternoon.

The day-by-day and per-campaign detail starts on the Starter plan. The scan count is on every plan.

How it is done

Four steps and it is on your CV

You say what you do

Pick «Personal and professional» and then «Job hunting». That is enough for us to know what to offer, so you never choose between eighteen types of code.

You pick what it is for

CV, portfolio, video, references, interview or contact. Each one arrives with its field ready.

You give it your colours

Two colours and, on a paid plan, your logo in the middle. Black on white also works, and scans just as well.

You download and print it

PNG or SVG, at whatever size you need. From then on, anything that changes you change from the dashboard.

A page, not a link

All of it together, in a QCard

A QR code leads to one place. A QCard is a page of yours with several buttons: the CV, the portfolio, the video, LinkedIn and your contact.

You point a single code at that page and change the buttons whenever you like. A paper CV with a code like that stops being a dead document.

Questions

What job hunters usually ask

It depends on the field: in design, tech or marketing it helps; in very traditional roles it can be a distraction. If you use one, keep it small and next to your contact details, not taking up half the page.
Yes, how many times and when. You will not know who: whoever scans is not identified. But knowing your CV was opened on Tuesday is already more than a job board gives you.
That is the reason to make it dynamic. You change the destination PDF and the papers you already handed in lead to the new version.
Yes for a static code, and the free plan includes a dynamic one, which is the one that lets you update the CV and see the scans. For a job hunt, one is usually enough.
Yes, and in fact that is the safest: black on white is the contrast every camera reads best.

The paper is from March. The CV is from today.
