Who handles your data
QRlify (qrlify.me) is the data controller. For anything to do
with this page, write to
contact@qrlify.me.
What we collect, and why
| Data | When | What for |
|---|---|---|
| Email address | When you create an account | To identify you and let you sign in |
| Name and email from Google | If you sign in with Google | The same, without a password |
| The QR codes and QCards you make | While using the product | To store and serve them |
| IP address of whoever scans | On every scan | To derive city and country, and count distinct visitors |
| Browser and device type | On every scan | Statistics for your codes |
| Date and time | On every scan | Statistics for your codes |
| Name, email and message | If you use the contact form | To reply to you |
| Site usage | Only if you accept cookies | To learn which pages earn their place |
Who we share it with
- Google — Firebase hosts the site, the database and the accounts. Google Analytics measures site usage, and only if you accept.
- Stripe — processes payments. Your card details go straight to Stripe; QRlify never sees or stores them.
- ip-api.com — receives the IP address of each scan and returns the city and country. We send it nothing else.
We do not sell data to anyone, and we do not hand it over for third-party advertising.
How long we keep it
- Scans: deleted automatically after 400 days. The dashboard shows the last 14, but the history is what lets you compare one year against the previous one.
- Your account and your codes: for as long as the account is open. Close it and they are deleted.
- Contact messages: as long as it takes to deal with what you asked.
Cookies
The site works with no analytics cookies at all. Google Analytics only loads if you press "Accept" on the notice; press "Decline" and the library is never downloaded. Your choice is kept in your own browser.
Separately, signing in to your account uses browser storage to keep the session open. That is essential for the product to work and cannot be turned off.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, object to us handling it, or move it to another service. Write to contact@qrlify.me and we will answer.
In the European Union these are the rights in articles 15 to 22 of the GDPR, and you can also complain to your country's supervisory authority. In Mexico they are the ARCO rights under the LFPDPPP.
Children
QRlify is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If any of this changes, we update the date at the top. Significant changes are emailed to anyone with an account.
